Native Indian costumes have the trademark headdress. This is usually made with leather headband and feathers. You could buy a readymade headdress or make your own. If making your own headdress, you need a strip of cloth or leather, strong glue, feathers, and native or wooden beads. The length of the headdress should fit the size of your head. Create your own design by gluing the beads in front of the strip of cloth or leather. Glue in a few pieces of feathers either on the side or at the back of the headdress. Let it dry and it’s ready to wear.
You could even be actually a tribe. For a group of friends, have matching head dresses so you could easily identify one another from a crowd. You could even create your tribal call or shout out so you could send messages to one another even when you are on opposite sides of anywhere you might be. Even a family could do this. Dad would have the Native Indian costume that would make him the tribe chief. Mom could be the tribal medicinal healer, and accessorize by carrying a native looking bag containing dried and fresh leaves as fake herbal medicines. And of course, the kids could match Mom and Dad’s costumes and accessorize with toy bow and arrow, fake knife and ropes. Everyone could also play around with face paint with distinct tribe designs.
